I agree with 9 of your ten. While the USA is a pretty awesome country, it’s no longer the “greatest country in the world”. To be “the greatest”, it must have more number-ones than any other country. And the USA has too many number twos, and not enough number ones if you know what I mean.
Yes, the US is great in many categories, but when you take a step back and see what the US is doing to other countries, and the multitude of problems in the US that are entirely avoidable due to it being the most prosperous country in the world, the US is not number one by any stretch of the imagination. It’s a long story, but there is NO greatest anymore. Too many countries are either falling behind or falling apart. The only way to say a country is the greatest is to be specific. Example, some might say the USA has the highest wealth inequality. So in that category, the US is the greatest (if you call that great).
Which country makes the best Scotch Whiskey, or the best Craft Beer, or has the most freedom, or the least hungry people. But to suggest that the US is the greatest country says more about privilege and American Exceptionalism than it does about goodness and quality.
